Nasal Spray Recalled for Glass Particles

With allergy season well underway, many people are using over-the-counter and prescription products to help deal with the symptoms. Unfortunately, some such products are being recalled due to the possibility of glass particles present in the bottles. The products being recalled include Flonase nasal spray and other products containing Fluticasone.

Apotex Corp., the manufacturer of the spray, has not received any reports of injuries related to the problem. However, they warn that there is a risk of mechanical irritation or local trauma to the nasal cavity from the particles. Products affected by the recall have an expiration date of July 20, 2020.

If you have questions about the recall, visit the FDA website for full details, or contact Apotex Corp. at 1-800-706-5575.

“To avoid injuries, always discontinue use of recalled products that pose a safety hazard,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
