Motorcyclist Thrown from his Bike Pronounced Dead at the Scene

A motorcyclist was killed Friday night in Victorville after he was thrown from his bike on Highway 395. The motorcycle accident occurred just north of Palmdale Road around 11:20 p.m. Police have identified the victim as Cornelius Turner of Victorville.

According to the victim’s wife, Turner was on his way home from work when the fatal accident occurred. His wife says he only took his motorcycle to work that day because he was having car trouble.

First responders attempted life-saving measures on Turner, but he died at the scene. Turner was a maintenance supervisor for Caltrans who had recently been promoted to superintendent.

Police are still investigating the cause of the fatal motorcycle accident. It is unclear what caused the crash and why Turner was thrown from his bike. Police have not said whether any other vehicles were involved. Anyone with information can contact the Victorville Police Department at (760) 241-2911.

“Our hearts go out to Mr. Turner’s family and friends during this difficult time,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
