Man Arrested for Violent Road Rage Attack

Palm Springs police have arrested a man for striking a person unconscious in a road rage incident last month. Authorities say 48-year-old Harvey Seno Lozada knocked another driver unconscious with a metal object during a confrontation.

Lozada and the victim were driving around E. Tahquitz Canyon Drive on the morning of June 30 when Lozada pulled his BMW in front of the other vehicle. The vehicles began swerving around each other, and the victim pulled over into a parking lot. Lozada then exited his vehicle with the metal object and struck the victim, knocking him unconscious. Police say Lozada then walked back to his BMW and drove away.

A cell phone left at the scene helped police trace the crime to Lozada. He was arrested for aggravated mayhem and assault with a deadly weapon on July 7 at his home.

According to AAA, around 80% of people who responded to a survey admitted to having expressed anger or road rage at least once in the past year. Road rage can lead to serious accidents or even, as in this case, physical violence between drivers.

“There is no excuse for violent behavior toward other drivers. Drivers who can’t control their aggression should not be behind the wheel of a vehicle,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
