Did High Winds Contribute to Palm Springs Rollover Crash?

A Palm Springs rollover crash caused traffic backups on Gene Autry Trail Saturday night. The crash was reported around 8 p.m. near Via Escuela. Police have not yet said what caused the single-vehicle rollover accident. However, strong winds and blowing dust were causing problems all day in the area.

Emergency responders helped a victim out of the vehicle. There is no word on how many people were in the vehicle or the extent of their injuries. Gusts were blowing up to 60 mph Saturday, causing visibility issues on the roadways.
