2 Killed in Separate Fatal Victorville Crashes

Two men were killed in separate crashes in Victorville Friday night. Officials have identified the victims as 55-year-old Tyrus Lamont Lindsey and 51-year-old Shan Dee Quick.

The first fatal crash occurred at 4:54 p.m. at Mariposa Road and Nisqualli Road. Lindsey was driving a 1977 Chevrolet Corvette south on Mariposa when he lost control of the car. The Corvette ran off the roadway and overturned into a dry riverbed. Lindsey died at the scene.

The second fatal crash occurred at 10:21 p.m. near Amethyst Road and Luna Road. Quick was pushing his disabled motorcycle down the road when he was struck by a northbound Toyota sedan. Quick was also pronounced dead at the scene.

The fatal Victorville crashes are being investigated by the Sheriff’s Department Major Accident Investigation Team.
