25,000 Car Seats Affected by Graco Recall

More than 25,000 car seats are included in a Graco recall that was announced Wednesday. Graco reports the car seats might not restrain children properly in a crash, which could lead to injuries.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the webbing in the recalled car seats failed to meet safety standards. The harness webbing on these car seats could break in an auto accident, posing a serious safety hazard for children.

Which Car Seat Models are Affected by Graco Recall?

The car seats included in the Graco recall are 25,494 Graco My Ride 65 car seats. These car seats were produced between May and August 2014. Model numbers affected are:

  • 1871689
  • 1908152
  • 1813074
  • 1872691
  • 1853478
  • 1877535
  • 1813015
  • 1794334

If you own one of these car seats, contact Graco at 1-800-345-4109. The company will send out a free replacement kit for the webbing. Customers can continue to use the car seats while waiting for the replacement kit.
