2 Injured in Victorville Semi Accident

Two people suffered injuries in a Victorville semi accident Sunday afternoon. The crash occurred at Mojave Drive and East Trail just before 3 p.m. Police say a Honda Civic was traveling east on Mojave Drive when it struck a semi truck and became lodged underneath it.

Truck Driver Failed to Yield

The semi truck driver failed to yield at the stop sign on East Trail before making a left turn onto Mojave Drive. The truck drove out into the Honda’s path, causing the crash. The Civic driver, a 26-year-old Victorville man, was airlifted to the hospital for his injuries.

A female passenger was also taken to the hospital for injuries. A 5-year-old child was also in the Civic at the time of the crash. Fortunately, the child was strapped into a car seat and did not appear to have any injuries. The semi truck driver was also uninjured. He was cited for failure to yield.

Police are still investigating the accident. If you have information about the crash, please contact the Victorville Sheriff’s Station at (760) 241-2911.
