Victorville Man Killed in Village Drive Motorcycle Crash

A Victorville man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Village Drive last month. Police have identified 31-year-old Alejandro Gonzalez Paz as the motorcyclist who sustained fatal injuries in the crash with a Scion xB.

Paz was traveling west on Village Drive when he was struck by the Scion, which was making a left turn onto Village Drive from Oceanside Drive. An off-duty nurse attempted CPR on the motorcyclist until authorities arrived. Paz was then taken to Victor Valley Global Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

Village Drive was closed for several hours while the Victorville Major Accident Investigation Team investigated. The Scion driver did not report injuries and remained on the scene for the investigation. Police have not reported who was at fault for the fatal motorcycle crash.

The intersection where the crash occurred is not a very well-lit roadway. There is a stop sign at the intersection, but no traffic light.

“Drivers need to be particularly cautious at these types of intersections, where there is no left turn arrow to let drivers know it is safe to proceed,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
