Trader Joe’s Recalls Ice Cream for Possible Metal Contamination

Trader Joe’s recalled one of its popular ice cream flavors last month. The retailer says it voluntarily recalled its Trader Joe’s Matcha Green Tea Ice Cream because it might contain small metal pieces. The company has not indicated the reason for the possible contamination.

Trader Joe’s has removed all the recalled ice cream from its stores. They are urging customers to throw away the ice cream or bring it back to the store for a refund. Although no injuries have been reported from the issue, it is still unsafe to eat.

Trader Joe’s Recalled Another Ice Cream Flavor a Month Prior

Just one month before this recall, Trader Joe’s recalled another ice cream flavor, the Mikawaya Chocolate Mochi ice cream. The company says the product may have contained peanuts, which were not listed on the label.

“This type of contamination could be very dangerous to consumers. Please follow the company’s directions and do not eat this ice cream,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
