Three-Car Collision Injures 5 In Apple Valley

Five people were injured in a major three-car collision in Apple Valley Sunday afternoon. The crash occurred around 2:12 p.m. near the intersection of Rancherias Road and Kiowa Road. A blue Mini Cooper, a silver Kia and a green Subaru were all involved in the crash.

Crash details are scarce, but firefighters say a 49-year-old man was ejected from the Mini Cooper. They performed life-saving measures on the man, then transported him to the hospital for serious injuries. The Mini Cooper sustained major damage in the accident. In fact, the impact caused the vehicle’s steering wheel to detach.

Four others suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash. They were also taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the three-car collision. If you have information about the accident, please contact the Apple Valley Police Department at (760) 240-7400.
