Did Reckless Driving Cause Crash on I-15?

Reckless driving might be to blame for a crash on I-15 in Hesperia Wednesday morning. The rollover crash occurred in the northbound lanes around 6:25 a.m. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the driver of a green Toyota SUV was seen driving recklessly on the interstate before he lost control of the vehicle. The SUV struck the center guardrail between Highway 395 and Joshua Street.

SUV Flipped at Least 5 Times in Crash

The SUV then overturned multiple times. Witnesses reported it flipping at least five times, up to 15 times. Finally, the Toyota landed on top of a white Kia and came to a stop. Firefighters extricated the SUV driver. He was taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for unknown injuries. The Kia driver was also injured in the crash.

The accident blocked the No. 2 and No. 3 lanes for about two hours following the crash. The accident remains under investigation. Anyone with information can contact the Victorville CHP at (760) 241-1186.
