Police Investigating Fatal Halloween Night Crash

Police suspect alcohol contributed to a fatal Halloween night crash in Lucerne Valley. The crash occurred on State Route 18 around 11:10 p.m. Police say a southbound Chevy Silverado swerved across the double yellow line, crashing head-on into a northbound tractor-trailer.

The driver of the Chevy was ejected from the pickup truck. He died from his injuries at the scene. Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

A passenger in the pickup truck suffered minor injuries in the accident. However, the tractor-trailer driver was not injured. The Victorville California Highway Patrol (CHP) is currently investigating the accident. If you have information about the fatal Halloween night crash, please contact the CHP at (760) 241-1186.
