Palm Springs Police Chase Suspect Crashes into Vehicle

A Palm Springs police chase ended in a two-car collision Thursday evening. Police were investigating a domestic violence incident at a residence when the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle. A man and a woman were both in the vehicle, but police did not confirm who was driving.

Palm Springs Police Chase Exceeds 75 MPH in City

Police pursued the vehicle through city streets. The driver allegedly fled at speeds over 75 mph. The chase ended about one minute later when the suspect crashed into another vehicle. The collision happened at Sunrise Way and Racquet Club Drive. One of the occupants of the pursuit vehicle suffered injuries and had to be hospitalized. It is unclear whether the occupants of the other vehicle sustained injuries.

Police closed down the intersection of Sunrise Way and Racquet Club Drive following the crash. The Palm Springs police chase and accident are under investigation. Police have not stated whether they are filing charges yet.
