Motorcyclist Hurts Himself and 1 Other in Victorville Hit-and-Run

A recent Victorville hit-and-run sent a motorcyclist and a pedestrian to the hospital. Authorities say the motorcyclist, 54-year-old Eric Outland of Adelanto, hit an 83-year-old man near the intersection of Bear Valley and Amethyst roads around 8 p.m.

The impact knocked the 83-year-old man down, but Outland fled the scene. He then lost control of the motorcycle and flipped over the handlebars. He was run over by the motorcycle and dragged down the road.

The victim of the Victorville hit-and-run was taken to Desert Valley Hospital for hip pain while Outland was flown to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for several injuries, including a broken jaw and knocked-out teeth.

Getting hit by a vehicle is shocking enough, but being the victim of a hit-and-run intensifies the situation.

“No one deserves to be a hit-and-run victim, but it’s better to be prepared for the worst. Make sure your insurance coverage is up-to-date and that you know what to do in the event of a hit-and-run,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
