Do You Have Information on Adelanto Pedestrian Hit-and-Run?

Police are investigating a possible pedestrian hit-and-run that happened in Adelanto Monday morning. A man was found lying on the shoulder of Air Expressway near Adelanto Road around 6:30 a.m. with unknown injuries. The incident was reported as a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision, but police did not find a vehicle when they arrived.

Officers requested an airship for the victim, but it was unable to respond due to weather conditions. The pedestrian was instead taken by ambulance to Victor Valley Global Medical Center. His condition has not been reported.

Police shut down Air Expressway Boulevard in both directions. The Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team is handling the investigation of the pedestrian hit-and-run. If there were any witnesses to the crash, they were not at the scene by the time police arrived. They are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station at (760) 552-6800.
