Head-On Crash Critically Injures Woman

A head-on crash near the Hesperia Airport last month left two people injured, one critically. The collision occurred around 2:24 p.m. on Friday, January 20, on Santa Fe Avenue south of Ranchero Road. Authorities say the female driver of a Saturn was heading north on Santa Fe Avenue when she swerved into oncoming traffic and collided with an SUV.

Woman Partially Ejected in Head-On Crash

The Saturn driver was thrown into the back seat during the crash. Authorities extricated her from the vehicle, then airlifted her to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with critical injuries. She was reportedly not wearing a seat belt when the crash occurred.

Another person also suffered injuries in the crash. That victim received treatment on the scene and did not require hospitalization. Police shut down southbound Santa Fe Avenue to investigate the head-on crash.

“We constantly hear reports of victims being ejected from their vehicles during crashes. If everyone made a point to buckle their seat belt every time they got into a car, we would rarely hear about people being ejected,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
