A Victorville man was thrown from his vehicle in a rollover crash on I-15 Wednesday morning. The single-vehicle crash occurred around 8:36 a.m. north of Glen Helen Parkway. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the driver of a white Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling south on I-15 when he drove up a dirt embankment to the right of the highway. The vehicle rolled over several times and came to rest on its wheels.

The driver was ejected from the Tahoe and suffered major injuries. He was taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment. CHP officers say he was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident. It is unclear why he lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway.

The CHP is investigating the rollover crash. Anyone with information should call (909) 383-4247.

“Wearing a seat belt almost completely eliminates the risk of being fully ejected from a vehicle during a crash. There is no good reason not to buckle up every time you get behind the wheel,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
