Biker Killed in Motorcycle Accident on I-10 Overpass

One person was killed in a motorcycle accident on I-10 Thursday. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that a motorcyclist lost control on the overpass onto westbound I-10 from Highway 62 at around 4 p.m. He crashed into the guardrail, which sent the motorcycle flying over I-10, coming to rest on top of a vehicle.

The motorcyclist died at the scene. According to CHP, occupants in the vehicle hit by the motorcycle sustained some injuries, but the details of those injuries are unknown. The motorcycle accident shut down three lanes on westbound I-10 for two hours.
