3 Crashes Cause Major Traffic Delays on I-15

A tractor-trailer crash in Hesperia Tuesday afternoon caused significant traffic delays on I-15. The collision happened at 12:06 p.m. on northbound I-15 near the Ranchero Road overpass. Details are still forthcoming, but California Highway Patrol (CHP) logs report that a tractor-trailer collided with a dark-colored SUV. The impact caused the SUV to roll over several times. One person involved in the crash sustained minor injuries. Police issued a SigAlert around 12:21 p.m., as all northbound lanes were closed.

Just one day earlier, drivers experienced major delays on southbound I-15 due to two crashes. A crash involving six vehicles in the No. 1 lane south of Oak Hills Road occurred Monday at 5:12 a.m. A second crash took place at 7:16 a.m. north of State Route 138. It is unclear whether anyone was injured in those crashes. Traffic was backed up beginning at Bear Valley Road.

“Crashes are far too common on our local freeways. Drivers need to focus on the road, follow the speed limit and eliminate distractions,” said Attorney Walter Clark, founder of Walter Clark Legal Group.
