Passenger dies in California auto accident

A 52-year-old California woman who wasn’t wearing her seatbelt has died in a Sacramento auto accident.

The California woman was the passenger in a 1998 Chevy Camaro that had broken down on the highway, according to KCRA.com.

The Camaro had broken down on California Highway 50 and was rear-ended by a man driving a Chevrolet El Camino. The Camaro had its emergency lights on.

Yucca Valley students watch mock car accident

The California Highway Patrol created a mock auto accident scenario that involved Yucca Valley students.

In addition to the mock accident, Yucca Valley students also attended a mock funeral, according to HiDesertStar.com.

The California Highway Patrol wanted to teach Yucca Valley teens about the dangers of drinking and driving as well as making bad decisions behind the wheel.
